Take theMorningside Ave. exit off the Hwy 20 bypass, Go About ½ mile West to 5414 Morningside Ave (lower level) TO CONTACT: Office Phone: 712-252-7913 e-mail: siouxlandcef@juno.comSTAFF: Miss Beth Lamb, Director Interns when available Summer Missionaries, who are trained & appointed MINISTRY: CEF is a worldwide ministry, in 153 countries around the world, and in all 50 states in the U.S. Our Siouxland Chapter includes the counties of Lyon, Sioux, Plymouth, Woodbury, Monona, Ida, and Sac in Iowa. We also minister in Dakota, Dixon and Wayne counties in Nebraska. Our 3-fold purpose is to evangelize children, disciple children in the Word of God, and establish them in the local church. Our basic ministries to elementary age children help us do just that. Good News ClubsÒ for ages 5 to 12. Meet once a week for one hour, after school or in the evening for 12 weeks in the Fall, and 12 weeks in the Spring. The Club includes visualized Bible lessons, review games, missionary stories, memory Bible Verses and songs. 6 Week Good News ClubÒ A shorter version of the above Good News Club, which can be a "stand alone" one time club or a "pilot" club for possibly expanding into a continuing Good News Club. Party Clubs A one time club that can be theme related (Valentines, Thanksgiving, Easter, Christmas, Birthday, Christian Heroes, etc.) Games and schedule, invitations and memory verse and visualized lesson are all included in a Party Club kit. 5-Day ClubsÒ These meet in the summer and are hosted by individuals or churches. The Club lasts 5 days, one hour each day. Bible lessons, memory verse, missions story, games and songs are all included. Christian Youth in ActionÒ (CYIA) CYIA is open to anyone 14 years or older. Thousands of young people and adults participate in CYIA each summer across America. School teachers often become involved during their summer break. Training is held during the month of June, as CYIAers learn how to teach 5-Day Clubs and share the Gospel with children. After training, they return to their home communities and teach 5-Day Clubs. CEF Mailbox Club™ This is a Bible correspondence course for preschoolers to adults. The lessons are free. Those enrolled receive certificates, gifts, a membership card and the opportunity to share prayer requests. Contact our local CEF office to enroll your child. Teaching Children EffectivelyÒ A 30-hour course designed to offer a fresh approach to evangelizing and teaching children. Based on spiritual and educational principles, the course provides the methods and procedures to lead children to Christ and immediately equips the believer to begin and sustain a ministry where he or she lives. Super Seminars These can be designed for your church’s specific needs and ministry. Topics include: Evangelizing Children; Age-group Characteristics; Teaching God’s Word to Children; The class hour (Songs, Memory Verses, Review Games, Visual Aids); and Discipleship (Teaching New Christians, Training Children to Share their Faith, & Consecration). Fair Ministry In the summer, we travel to county fairs (Woodbury, Sioux, Monona & Plymouth) and do Gospel face painting with children and share the Gospel with them often using the Wordless book or bracelet. CEF Materials CEF produces the finest materials available to use with evangelizing and training children. Our local office always has some of the materials on hand for purchase, and we have a CEF Press catalog available. (Purchasing them through our local office financially benefits our local CEF chapter) Teach KidsÒ magazine – CEF publishes this bi-monthly magazine which includes a visualized lesson in each issue. There are resource ideas for every age level from preschoolers to upper elementary children, articles, stories, puppet scripts and information that will benefit anyone who works with children at home, church or school.
