MINISTRY: Wall Street Mission / Goodwill Industries mission is to provide opportunities that will help people achieve the best vocational, personal, social and spiritual level they may be capable of reaching. Some of the people who come to us have various levels of disability and we have a process of application and testing to see if we can offer them help. We encourage the public to gift us items of clothing and home use that are in good condition that can be made ready for sale in our local Goodwill stores. We also encourage local industries and businesses to consider "farming out" some simple tasks that will provide meaningful work experiences for our workers. REGULAR PROGRAMS:
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: We are a recognized mission of the Iowa Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. We also have an active church on site, the Church of all Nations, in a historically significant building, a church moved in from the country several years ago. Mr. Jeff Woods is the acting pastor. Services are held there for our "special" people. |
